Roadmap for Project Ouroborus
Last Updated: May 10th, 2011

1. There is some gibberish in our code left over from previous layers of scaffolding. Some amount of clean-up and standardisation is in order.

2. Next we will continue developing the simulation up to the stage where species of agents, with different genomes, can be introduced at start-up. This is not far-off. Once this benchmark is reached we will stabilise worldish and focus on the next major item on the agenda, namely:

3. Development of a view, which exists independtly of both birdcage and worldish, but which interacts smoothly with it. Among the properties we wish for in this view is the ability to display with a variable frequency as measured against the iteration rate of the cellular automaton and the agents. A GUI might well be in order here too.

4. After this, the future becomes both more grandiose and more distant...mutation definitely comes to mind, and so do networking and serialisation.
