http://github.com/tudisco/twexter has open code for pre-alpha demo currently working at http://dev.read.fm. A real alpha demo will be ready 01 Dec should have some new features and a much better user interface outlined at http://twext.com/ui. Feedback, as always, is wanted and welcome :)
Jason has been kicking ass and has an amazing number of twexter features working:

xnav experimental gui
xcroll control two input windows with one scrollbar
slop select language option menus, even sensitive to selected styles
add any language or dialect to twexter
http://translate.google.com works with twexter
embed youtube videos (plus many other image and video resources)
embeddable twext in wordpress, wikis
direct link to urls
thumbnail images in find interface
sort find lists by date or alphabet
new spacechunking simple text input twexts automagically
variable edit interfaces are improving twext control
new single page twext input manageable in any text editor
a user friendly simplified ui design to work in worpress
much more and behind the scenes, more than i can imagine
wow

I've been testing twexter and producing some content, mostly in Spanish and English, but also in French, Italian, German and Portugues. What's interesting is this: I don't speak much French. I speak no Portuguese, no German. With translate.google.com I'm able to make twexts and learn a little.

As we make the interface more and more usable, I suspect people who know French or Portugese or German will correct my errors. I believe this process of trial then error correction will help me learn language. In other words, just reading twext is helpful to learners, but actually creating it may also to be very helpful.

Maybe true. To find out, we need users. Here's our plan to get them:

fix the current multilingual "alpha" twexter as best we can until 30 NOV
meanwhile design much simpler "beta" twexter to develop in December
Inglés/Spanish-only simpler beta twexter
working in wordpress, a familiar interface with easy user accounts and google indexing
01 JAN launch beta twexter in here in bilingual San Miguel
integrate with live classes supported by twext books
family friendly content only

We need to iterate, with users, as soon as possible. My next report will be Wednesday, detailing the Beta Twext plan for http://escuelaschool.com
