HOMEILCME, the International Congress on Mathematical Education, in its eleventh edition is to be held in Monterrey, Mexico from June 6th to 13th, 2008. (History and General Info on ICME) Monterrey is the capital city of the state of Nuevo Leon, situated in the Northeast of Mexico around 2 hours by land from the Texas border. It lies at the foot of the Cerro de la Silla, a saddle-shaped hill which has become symbolic of the city's identity. In recent years it has seen a rapid growth in many aspects including industry, trade, culture and population.
