patrocinio en HP. Me adelanta que va a estar fuera de casa al menos
hasta el 8/dic, pero que intentará moverle por ahí. Sé que la

This conference is made by the members of the Free Software user
community, for the members of this same community. This includes
developers, administrators, promotors and, in general, users of
anything that is Free Software related, with the main goal of learning
from each other and getting to know each other, stengthening our
community.

The conference is not just limited to Linux users, will not restrict
its entrance to who proposes one or another amongst the many
tendencies that make up the world of Free Software. In this community
there is a great amount of tendencies and systems, each one of them
equally important for our movement.

- -- Introduction:

The free operating systems, Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and NetBSD, as
well as many other minor systems, account for millions of server and
desktop machines all over the world. This shows the great importance
of this kind of systems in Internet and the computing world today.

On the other hand, tools like Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Perl, Python,
Samba and many more have become present in servers used for multiple
tasks.

In Mexico, as well as in the rest of the world, we have gradually
created a growing community of Free Software users who, little by
little, have made free operating systems and tools be accepted in many
companies and institutions, solving every kind of problem, from the
simplest and reaching into the most mission-critical ones.

If you want to promote a project you are developing or recruit
collaborators for it, CONSOL is the right place for it.

In CONSOL you will be able to meet and talk with members of the Free
Software community, and you will have the opportunity to learn more
about installing, configuring and using various free operating
systems, languages and tools.

We are organizing CONSOL's third edition. It will consist -as their
predecessors did- of four days of workshops and technical sessions of
different kinds.

The combination of technical talks, keynote talks, workshops,
tutorials and ongoing project preentation represents a great
opportunity for the assistants, independently of the level of their
knowledge and involvement with Free Software, to learn about the
solutions presented by experts, professionals, industry leaders and,
in general, members of the Free Software community in our country.

The main focus of CONSOL, of course, is still and will always be
strengthening our community, improving the professional quality of its
members, improving the bonds between the different user groups and
presenting different solutions and tools for their work and
professional life.
